Which route applies
Sri Lanka does not currently apply the Hague Apostille Convention with Singapore, so Singapore documents need full legalisation, finishing at the embassy or consulate of Sri Lanka.
Notarisation
A Singapore Notary Public certifies the document or witnesses your signature.
Singapore Academy of Law
SAL authenticates the notary's signature and seal.
Embassy of Sri Lanka
The embassy or consulate in Singapore legalises the document.
Translation
If required, we provide a certified translation — some embassies ask for it to be legalised too.
Official language(s) of Sri Lanka: Sinhala, Tamil. We provide certified translations into these languages when the receiving authority asks for them.
